The video talked about how in the past widows and widowers would dress in black or wear a black armband to provide a visual symbol of their grief. One thing that helped me start to identify myself as a widow was adding a "widow's ring" to my wedding ring set.
Yes, and in some countries (like Greece) widows wear black for a specified time of mourning, which I found very comforting, honoring, and sacred in its meaning.

Excellent series, very well done and offers practical approaches in each video.These short videos would be great to use with orientation, and ongoing education at IDT meetings. One video a week at team meeting would be important reminders to the team and provide a way to check in and see how everyone is doing with their own grief. Thank you to all who were a part of creating this wonderful resource.
